A Legacy Framework for Modern Marketing
Do I really need to read this article? Isn’t it easy to generate a complete marketing strategy today simply by writing a prompt and letting AI do the work?
At first glance, the idea sounds reasonable. With the rapid advancement of generative AI, marketers and business leaders can now obtain structured recommendations within seconds. However, while AI has become a powerful agent, it is not a flawless assistant. Generative AI can produce responses that sound logical and persuasive but are not always accurate or contextually appropriate. This phenomenon—often referred to as “hallucination”—can mislead users who rely on AI without critical evaluation.
For this reason, marketers cannot rely on AI one hundred percent. As a marketer, a strong understanding of marketing concepts remains essential before engaging in any “dialogue” with AI agents. There are situations where users must first “train” AI with the conceptual framework they intend to apply before prompting any request. Human judgment must remain the anchor of the decision-making process.
